    Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast

If you don't know it's impossible it's easier to do. And because nobody's done it before, they haven't made up rules to stop anyone doing that again, yet." ~ Neil Gaiman

Alice laughed. “There’s no use trying,” she said. “One can’t believe impossible things.”. “I dare say you haven’t had much practice,” said the queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” ~Through the Looking Glass

People don’t understand me. That’s OK. That’s the way it’s meant to be. I don’t understand them either. I consider it my full-time job to understand myself, and I certainly haven’t succeeded…yet. But I’m getting closer. The more I look into my heart and soul (and I DO take time to look) the more I understand who I am. I like me, alot!

YES I believe in the impossible.  I see evidence of it everyday, sometimes every hour. This morning, as I was sitting in my studio, I saw an eagle fly so close to my window that I could have touched it. She landed on her tree, on MY tree, maybe 50 feet from where I sat, safe and warm in my house. I watched her ruffle up her feathers and start to preen herself turning her head at angles that would have put me in the hospital if I’d attempted them. I watched and heard her screech as a smaller male approached. He landed on another tree and, for a while, they sat there, in plain sight being glorious and majestic.

Just think about that for a moment. This HUGE animal with FEATHERS and WINGS is able to FLY. It has everything it needs to survive, from its wits to its claws to its beak to its screech. And who KNOWS what it's doing when I’m not watching?

And it’s bloody beautiful. Earth-shatteringly beautiful!

If you’ve never seen a bird fly, or an eagle fly, I know you’d be a poorer man, to quote John Denver. How they live, how they are is impossible. But chances are you’ve seen them. So you can probably believe it too.

Soooo right in the moment I was typing that last sentence, I saw the male come and mate with the female! They’re still sitting in the same tree. It’s January. They aren’t “supposed” to be mating now. But they are. I’ve seen them a few times these last few weeks. I was lucky enough to capture them on the video of my iphone just now, another impossible thing.

I believe my life is what I make it. I believe that in every moment, I am creating my life with my words, with my thoughts, with my love. I believe in magic. I believe in touch and healing. I believe in living and taking chances. I believe in walks in the woods with my collies. I see beauty and mystery all around me, and very little else, honestly. I see possibilities.

I see…WATER! Salt water, tears, sweat, the ocean. Dear God - The OCEAN.

I believe that the love in my heart will guide me to what will fulfill and thrill me. I try to remember to stop resisting and let myself love what I love. And what about fascination that becomes passion and obsession? I follow it. I trust it!

And my life is expanded beyond my wildest dreams.

I stubbornly and often secretly hold onto love with all of my might. I refuse to give up. Every moment, of every day, I am supported. I am loved and cared for, so I love and trust in return. I love with faith and power. I make it my job to run my own life, to discover what brings me to life and then to do it! It doesn’t matter who says it’s nutz or not practical or realistic, or responsible or even the death nail - Impossible.

I believe in the impossible. I live in the realm of possibility.

Here’s my secret. It WORKS. The impossible is real. 6 impossible things happened in my life TODAY.

    Before breakfast.
